This Fall (or when the humidity dries up)
- Brush in woods cut back again
- Coreopsis in the front bed moved back from the sidewalk
- Grass removed from the Kitchen Garden and replaced with newspaper and pine needles
- Rose removed from patio trellis
- Trees that are dead and sick in the yard cut down
Next time...
- Add compost and leaf mold to the kitchen garden beds this fall, not in the spring
- Plant lots of peas and corn instead of just a few seeds
- Cover the beds with black cloth so I can get a head start on tomatoes, squash and melons
How we arrived...
"I found an unbelievable house, it's worth no more vacations for a place like this." It was my Dad. I looked at the picture and read the description. It was incredible, but out of our price range and I like vacations. Then, on the way to see another, my realtor drove me by a beautiful house on an incredible lot; it was the Dad House. The price dropped and after six months of waiting, the Dad House was ours!
